The AFUW-Q Committee and the FFI Branch's Management Committee wish to thank all volunteers for the help that they give at each of the University of Queensland ceremonies. The funds from the gowning of graduands help to provide the generous fellowships that we offer each year. The Manager of ADHS and her staff will man the Ipswich hiring desk. Our help is needed at the St Lucia ceremonies as usual, from 9.00 am until approximately one hour after the last ceremony ends. CAN YOU ASSIST AT THE NEXT CEREMONIES? WEDNESDAY, 16 JULY AND FRIDAY, 18 JULY We welcome all members of AFUWQ who would like to help with this important work. The only skill needed is the ability to read invoices and refund cheques. All the proceeds are dedicated solely to the AFUW Q Fellowship Fund which is managed for AFUW Q by FFI (the Fellowship Fund Branch). Even just an hour is valuable for us. Vouchers for parking under the University Centre will be available and we will show what to do when you arrive. Bursaries/Fellowships
The AFUW places priority on providing financial assistance for women to undertake university studies in Australia and overseas. All members are eligible to apply for these awards. For more information on the scholarships and awards currently available through the AFUWQ,

The
Committee meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the months of February, March, April,
May, June, July, August, September, October and November. It considers
applications for membership received by the Monday prior to each meeting.
Applications received after that date are considered at the following meeting.
